Exit at Albenga (Highway A10 Ge-Ventimiglia). Continue towards Leca and later towards Bastia from here signs will take you to Arnasco.
It is made up of many small communities that are very charming among the olive groves. This territory is immersed in green and it has become a well-known summer resort.
Roman settlements developed in the valley floor of Arveglio creating a second colonization. Arveglio then became an important feudal center later abandoned in the 16th century.
The Castellanìa di Rivernario gave the feud to the Bishops of Albenga. After the traditional passing from Clavesana to Del Carretto, Arnasco was controlled by Cazzulini of Albenga in 1321. Its history runs parallel to the nearby towns until annexed from the Sardinia Kingdom.
The Castle of Bezzo was built by the Cazzulini family in the first half of the 1300’s. However, its original aspect has been changed and a noble 17th century villa absorbed its ruins. Always at Bezzo you can see the 1700 Oratory of St. Cosma and St. Damiano.
The ruins of a Del Carretto castle highlights the powerful family og Savona in the community of Piazza.
Not far away is the Parish Church of Dell’Assunta and it has a precious marble tabernacle. At Menosio near the Church of St. Pantaleo there is a stone construction that has become an object of legends, it is also know as the Torre di Davide.
Chestnuts, fritelle and an extraordinary extra virgin olive oil represent a tempting place for tourists that love to eat good genuine food.
