Such as many bordering Common also Francavilla Bisio was headquarter of Family and Lordship as the Castle of Guasco presence demonstrate. Built on 14th century the stronghold appears with a front by bricks, a portico on the two sides of the central structure and a watchtower. It was a property of Marquise di Gavi, which on 13th century gave it to the Rivalta Bormida Abbey such a present. Than it became property of the Spinola, and than of Grillo Family. By the peace of Vienna, 1708, the county of Francavilla became Sabaudo territory and the ancient and powerful Guasco Family became the latest owners of the Castle. |
