Exit at Vignole-Arquata and go along the Borbera Valley up until the picturesque communities that make up the administrative territory of Carrega Ligure.
Its history highlights how each community had its own life with distinct parish churches that were part of the Malaspina Feud.
Agneto extends in the rural suaveness and it reminds us of an active farming community.
Vegni, Daglio, Cartasegna, Magioncalda, Bargo, Connio, and Fontanachiusa depict a fantastic picture of ancient times.
They are characterized by small towns that have been built around the local Parish Church.
Of great prestige is the 12th century Church of St. Giuliano. Very interesting are the stucco decorations and the main alter.
The Castle Malaspina-Fieschi-Doria was built in the 12th century and it dominates the town form high above.
It has a rectangular base that moves externally in the shape of a towered semicircle. The castle is a great expression of the late Ligurian Middle Ages.
Also of great interest are the Mulino dei Gatti and the Mulino Gelato that are places of rest in a natural path of the Sentiero della Valle dei Campanassi that is very enchanting.
Here you can admire the paradise of Mount Antola and Mount Tre Croci.
There is also the abandoned area of Reneuzzi where tradition and legend blend well together.
The county seat has the Museum of Popular Culture of the Alta Val Borbera that displays agricultural tools and utensils that were used not to long ago.
