After passing Vignole Borbera (exit at Vignole Borbera Highway A7 Genoa-Serravalle) the street will take you to Borghetto Borbera.
You will arrive at Borghetto after passing the small church dedicated to St. Anthony. The church has Medieval origins as well as three naves but, it also has prestigious architectonic elements such as its walls and apse that are made out of square stones.
Nearby there is the Oratory of St. Michele that is in a primordial Romanic style.
The development of Borghetto dates back to Americi di Pobbieto and it is highlighted by an official act of 1319 where it talks about Borgo of the Americi.
This fortified center had a quadrangular base with walls making it a great defense system.
The Portal entrance led to the castle and the door opened up to the actual Parish Church.
