|
| In a magnificent town closed by large doors and denominated “Via Interiore,” each year from December 8 – January 9 a tradition is celebrated: the Nativity scene of Arquata. |
In a beautiful atmosphere located along the unique alleys of the old town center you can admire more than 200 statues that allow you to take a glance of what the farming community was like. The wooden statues are of normal size and they are covered with 20th century clothing that were donated by the inhabitants. |
The Arquata Scrivia Nativity scene is celebrated and improves every year. This tradition has become more then just a Christmas celebration but also an important expression of culture and folklore. |
